Service here was good. The atmosphere was really nice and the food was very flavorful. The price point is great. Nice spot to hang out with your friends, family, a date or even alone.

Hands down, the best food we've had in Atlanta so far! From the moment you walk in, the upbeat music sets a lively vibe, and the restaurant's decor feels dark and mysterious, but with fun, playful touches that make it so inviting. The service was incredibly speedy, and the portion sizes are *massive*! You could easily split a plate with someone and still be full. I ordered the chicken wing plate, and my friend got the fried shrimp plate--both were absolutely delicious. But the standout for me was the catfish I added on. It was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and when paired with hot sauce? Chef's kiss! A big shout-out to the owner and the hardworking staff--y'all are crushing it. Southern Fire Kitchen is a must-visit whenever I'm back in town. Keep up the amazing work!

Southern Fire Kitchen serves up southern and soul food classics in Brookhaven within the Northeast Plaza shopping center. I was excited about trying some of Buford Highway's black-owned eateries during Black Restaurant Week and came early on a Thursday evening. The crowd started growing as I was finishing my meal. The restaurant interior lives up to its "Good Vibes" motto. It is a versatile restaurant, where you can eat with family one day for dinner and enjoy a late-night lounge feel with friends on another night. My meal came out within an appropriate timeframe and I was provided with friendly service at the Bar. I ordered: The Morning After: Champagne, Vodka, Chambord, Lime Juice, Simple Syrup Grilled Salmon with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes (sides recommended by the bartender) Side of grilled shrimp Peach Cobbler The salmon and shrimp were well prepared with a subtle seasoning, which I appreciated. The mashed potatoes were solid and oozed with butter. The green beans were well seasoned and I was thrilled not to have to ask for the usual hot sauce. I am not a peach cobbler fan. But I really liked the peach cobbler, and it was gone within minutes of arriving home and my husband spying the refrigerator. I love a bread forward cobbler, and this one had a nice lingering hint of spice.
